DEAD SEXY PATIOS in TORONTO
The ink dried long ago on all the various patio guides, but the cool temperatures decided to stay for a bit longer. We kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the elusive summer weather.
Now that the first day of summer (June 21) has past, we’re hoping the hot weather is here to stay.  We present our pictorial of select patios in the city where you can soak in the sun, show off your bod, take in the ambience and drink away any memories of snow.
Hurry though! Summer doesn’t last forever.

Yes it may be geared to those with expense accounts, but the setting under the iconic skyscrapers is a keeper. Famous for its pricey $35 burger, Bymark (by Chef/Owner Mark McEwen) is equally great for cocktails, perhaps lounging in a mid-century chair or watching all the Bay Street business titans chill out.

A rooftop getaway right in the heart of Queen West housed in a former Polish/Czech butcher shop, this multi-story resto/lounge is a great place for comfort food (Burgers, Eggs Benny and Poutine) and specialty drinks while soaking in the glorious sun after strolling Queen West.

The perfect, stylish and cozy corner in The Village with an ambitious and delicious globally influenced tapas menu (by acclaimed chef Sam Girgis), lush garden ambience and a laidback vibe. Whoever you are into (boys, girls, both), you will see some perfect specimens walk by.

Hidden in a quiet and green side street just west of the Ossington Street kafuffle, this long-standing Cuban cantina is THE only place for Mojitos and star-filled skies. (If the sky is cloudy the twinkly ornamental lights more than make up).

Our number one place for chilling, noshing and sloshing. Toronto's Harbourfront promenade absolutely buzzes in the summer and this is THE place to take it in. Delish pizzas from a wood-burning oven, Kobe beef burgers, two kinds of sangria and a waterfront view. Oh, you can’t forget the friendly, customer focused staff. It does not and cannot get any better.

We really love hidden neighbourhood getaways; this one is for early risers. Mitzi’s has amazing breakfasts, lunches and brunches featuring omelets, French toast and our favourite breakfast potatoes ever. Do come early! Consider yourself warned.

The ultimate garden getaway from the retail madness of Queen West is credited with introducing Thai food to Toronto over 20 years ago. The Pad Thai is famous (or infamous depending on your point of view) and service very laid back.

QM’s sister’s rep is well earned (it’s a resto, live music venue and pool hall) and it's the place everyone knows. That's why you should go there. You will always meet someone or see something you want to see (or not). The street scene and people watching is unequalled. Food is good but it’s the scene that makes us come back.
