Now, since the weather is finally warm, we wanted to showcase our favourite patios where we will be hanging out this summer, whether relaxing over a leisurely breakfast in the morning, chilling with a beer in the afternoon or just kicking back drinking a killer mojito in the evening.
While we were are at it, we did hang out with a busload of creative people this month, including red-hot Toronto band Lioness and the creators of 3 very interesting, must see shows at this year’s Toronto Fringe Festival. We also checked in with local singing talent Breanne Arrigo to talk life beyond a hit musical show. Hungry? We explore the roots, history and heated passion behind Poutine (a Canadian delicacy if there ever was one) and feed our caffeine addiction at our latest favourite coffee shop. As if that’s not enough we did this while eyeing and photographing the latest fashion from 2 of Toronto’s coolest clothing boutiques right now.
Debuting this month is our first ever gadget review. Take a look and I hope you enjoy.
TORONTO FRINGE FESTIVAL: THE FRINGE IS TORONTO'S LARGEST THEATRE FESTIVAL
In 2009 it will be host to over 150 theatre companies from around the globe - most from right here in Toronto! With over 29 different venues and 800+ artists, the Fringe of Toronto Theatre Festival is Toronto’s largest theatre festival.
Join the excitement and beat the economic blues with 59,000 other Fringers as you sit back and see Broadways’ next hit, or something wild and wacky - all for under $10.
Productions range from dramas to musical extravaganzas to improv and take place in local theatres as well as in unusual spots: playgrounds, parking lots and more. A FringeKids! Venue hosts eight plays exclusively for children and families. The festival also hosts a beer tent, two outdoor patios and a free nightly Cabaret.
